Personal Injury Attorney
Our client, a respected Colorado plaintiff-side litigation firm, is searching for a 2+ years' Plaintiffs' Personal Injury Associate to join their growing team. The firm's practice focuses on personal injury, wrongful death, motor vehicle accidents, trucking accidents, motorcycle accidents, and insurance bad faith claims, with a strong emphasis on trial preparation and results-driven advocacy. This attorney will independently manage a pre-litigation caseload while providing direct litigation support to the partners.
This is an exceptional opportunity for an attorney who wants to gain meaningful litigation experience, develop trial skills, and receive mentorship from experienced trial lawyers in a firm that actively prepares cases for litigation rather than simply pursuing volume settlements.
Responsibilities:
Pre-Litigation Case Management
Litigation Support and Second-Chair Responsibilities
The ideal candidate will possess a J.D. from an accredited law school, be licensed and in good standing with the Colorado Bar, and have at least two years of plaintiff-side personal injury experience. Candidates should have experience managing personal injury matters through the pre-litigation process, strong legal writing, research, and advocacy skills, and a proven ability to negotiate effectively with insurance carriers and adjusters. Success in this role requires excellent client communication skills, the ability to independently manage a caseload while collaborating with senior attorneys, and strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail.
Preferred candidates will have exposure to depositions, mediations, hearings, or trials, along with familiarity handling motor vehicle accidents, trucking accidents, motorcycle accidents, wrongful death claims, and insurance bad faith matters. Experience reviewing complex medical records and damages documentation is highly valued, as is a genuine interest in litigation and trial work. This position is particularly well-suited for an attorney seeking to develop into a first-chair trial lawyer over time.
Our client offers a competitive base salary of $110-130k with some flexibility based on experience, performance-based bonus opportunities, comprehensive health, dental, and vision benefits, paid time off, paid holidays, continuing legal education support, and direct mentorship from experienced trial attorneys.
